I just wanted to give a big shout-out to Cactus & Tropicals in Draper. They were kind enough to let me shoot a recent session in their beautiful greenhouse. If you haven't stopped by, you gotta go. It feels, looks, and smells like springtime! Beautiful plants and flowers. Their mixed pots are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. And the light is gorgeous! Another great shot, especially the pose, props, and--indeed--location. DOF is perfect.
On my color-calibrated monitor it seems a bit dark though. For most of the image, that's great--almost surreal. But the eyes lose a bit of definition. Some extra front-lighting might have helped in that case. Possibly try some PS lightening of the eyes? (On my non-calibrated monitor, which is overly bright, it looks great.)
The only other thing I'd try is to maybe crop it on the left side to eliminate the square post in the background.
Wow, springtime in the winter...it doesn't get much better than that!
