Hi,

I ran across your blog & love your pictures! Star Mill Antiques in American Fork is a fun place to photograph they have lots of antiques/junk all over, a big green door, & a big old barn in the back. They are closed in the winter so you can photograph anytime.
If I am lucky enough to win, my e-mail is lucinda_higley@hotmail.com Thanks!

P.S. I forgot to mention... I have 2 little boys & I think it would be cute to photograph them in jeans/no shirt at this location.

First off, i know that i'm an out of towner, but i think a carousel or ferris wheel could be some great shots...some moving some not. I just think about how my kids eyes light up when they see one or when they are on one and think that it has great possibilities....not sure where you have either one of those in utah, but like i said i thought it might give you some great shots!

Hey Denise..Here is an idea..since I love looking through Pottery Barn magazines copy PB. Find cute decorated bedrooms, porches, bathrooms, family rooms and make the picture look like a magazine photo w/the child enjoying what they like to do. For example; reading a book, stiring cookie dough in a big ceramic bowl in a cute kitchen. To take it a step further, make the photo look like the cover of a PB cover and add words. In PB April 09 are the words printed in red "make yourself comfortable". Add the childs name, date, and"important stuff"on the photo.
Anyway...take care and I know your photos are always the best. Rebecca Smith

I had a friend do a picture of someone and they are holding out a picture with their hand and on the picture it was another picture of them photoshopped onto it doing something else. I really liked the way it looked. I am not sure how you could do it with children, but maybe it could be like a daydreaming theme. Hope that makes sense.

I have 2 ideas that I would love to see {pick me, pick me}!! I saw a picture in a magazine years ago with some children sitting on a dock at a lake with a little american flag poking out of one of their back pockets, always wanted to create something with that same feel. The Lake at Daybreak (South Jordan) has a great little dock that I think would be a fun and unique backdrop for some pictures like this. They also have these great rock walls wrapped in wire that have a lot of texture that would be a fun backdrop as well as some great wheat grass. My second idea sprung when I visited Finder's Keepers down in American Fork (it is a fabulous little shop with little bedroom vinettes). My little 3 year old hopped up on one of the little chairs and started posing - the colors were fabulous and we got some cute snapshots but I think some professional shots would be amazing!! Love your pictures - keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I love pics taken at Gardner Historic Village. I love nature shots in wheat fields, trees, etc. I also love old things like rail road tracks, old gas stations, anything vintage-y looking. And, for the perfect, yet traditional, Utah shot, the canyons/streams are great! So many fun places, especially for kids. One of my favorite shots of my kids was taken on very green grass kind of looking down. It was such a great contrast... made the perfect back ground, even though it was what they were sitting on.
